Bereavement

Unfortunately my hubby did not recover from all the complications that followed his stroke. I was with him when he passed away peacefully yesterday. I'm going to be lost and sad for a long time I know, but I'm glad his suffering is over, and he would have hated being disabled by his stroke, even if he had come home again.

  1. I am sorry that George did not recover from his stroke, as you it would have been sad for him to live a half life but you will miss him, as you have been together for a long time.
All our love to you and the rest of the family

  7. Thank you everyone for your condolences. We were married for 7 years, but together for a lot longer than that. If you can, please think of us at noon, UK time, on Sep 16th, when we will be giving George his final send off.

  12. Jean I am so sorry I missed this post, and all your subsequent ones. Somehow your feed dropped off my reader. I am so sad to hear about George. After my father had his stroke, it was a sad and slow decline, and it might have been a blessing if he had not had to suffer so much for so long. George has a lovely face and I am glad you had a happy life together.
