Most people can't afford to live on the one mile peninsula that separate Poole Harbour from the sea. You have to have a few million pounds to be able to buy a home there. But everyone can enjoy its beach and amenities. This is how it can look on a winter's day.
Many of the children prefer to spend time in the playpark behind the beach huts
and the cafe at this time of year.

That sure doesn't look like much of a winter day! Even if we don't have snow the beach here is cold and desolate.
We don't have much snow here, Joan. Just occasionally. And we are sometimes lucky enough to have some sunshine, which looks pretty but doesn't actually feel warm. You can see it's not summer by the way people are bundled up in their clothes. One of the best things about the winter months is that our dogs are free to run where they like on the beach. In summer they are only allowed in certain areas.
I don't know why I can't see these pics, though I can see others on other posts...ah well, never mind, at least I've been able to get into your blog!
