Bereavement

Unfortunately my hubby did not recover from all the complications that followed his stroke. I was with him when he passed away peacefully yesterday. I'm going to be lost and sad for a long time I know, but I'm glad his suffering is over, and he would have hated being disabled by his stroke, even if he had come home again.

I am sorry that George did not recover from his stroke, as you it would have been sad for him to live a half life but you will miss him, as you have been together for a long time.
All our love to you and the rest of the family
Betty

I'm really sorry, too, to hear your sad news, Jean. But as Marc suggests there are happy memories to cherish despite the pain. With best wishes, Caroline

Thank you everyone for your condolences. We were married for 7 years, but together for a lot longer than that. If you can, please think of us at noon, UK time, on Sep 16th, when we will be giving George his final send off.

Will of course, think of you on the 16th. Until then, stay strong, and afterwards, live life as your hubby would want. xx

Jean I am so sorry I missed this post, and all your subsequent ones. Somehow your feed dropped off my reader. I am so sad to hear about George. After my father had his stroke, it was a sad and slow decline, and it might have been a blessing if he had not had to suffer so much for so long. George has a lovely face and I am glad you had a happy life together.
