We loved our visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan a few years back Jean. Have you visited Aberglasney in Carmarthenshire? A similar story in that the garden was overgrown and neglected but when archeologists got to work they discovered an Italianate garden in one area that dated back centuries. It's an ongoing project but one worth visiting.

yes Joan. It was in the Lost Gardens of Heligan which really is a fascinating place. The jungle is just one area of quite a vast and varied estate.
